Types of Car Dash Cameras

Here we at https://carcamera.in have categorized various types of Car Dash Camera based on size and number of lenses. We have not categorized dash camera by their features because features may be available in top model of same dash camera type:

1) Normal Front Side Car Dash Camera: 
This type of dash camera has only one front camera which covers only front view. It has two subtypes:

(i) Hidden Dash Camera: 
These types of Dash Camera are so small in size that it is very hard to recognize it inside the car. It has no screen to see live video or play footage on the spot.

(ii) Small Size Dash Camera: This type of dash camera has very small screen size like 1.5 inch.

2) Front Side & Rear Side Camera i.e. Dual Lens Camera:
This type of dash camera is recommended for normal usage. It covers front view by Front camera. The rear camera assists in parking as well as records all the time. Note that this rear camera looks same as car’s inbuilt camera but unlike Car’s rear camera, it has recording capability.

3) Front Camera & Inside Camera: 
This type of Dash Camera has one lens towards road and one lens towards passengers. It is mainly useful for private taxis like Uber and Ola.

4) Front Camera, Inside Camera and Rear Camera: 
This type of Car Dash Camera has 3 lenses. One records the road, second records inside view of car and third is rear camera which assist in parking as well as records rear view.

5) 4 Channel Car Security System / 360 Car Security System / Bird’s Eye System:
This is mainly used for Truck, School bus, Heavy Vehicles. It has one control box which collects view from all 4 cameras, i.e. Front, Rear, Left Side, Right Side, and shows it on screen.

6) Other Types:

(i) Many dash cameras can replace the rear view mirror. It may come with optional rear camera and other features like inbuilt video player.

(ii) Or Dash Camera in form of GPS Navigation Devices with Android OS:
